Anderson Perry reports progress on Cedar Springs Road mitigation and permitting; permits expected within weeks

Andy Lindseay of Anderson Perry provided a project update on the Cedar Springs Road mitigation and roadway work. He reported that biologists completed delineation around the proposed mitigation site, cultural-resource probes identified some archaeological sites that appear avoidable, and geotechnical testing returned favorable initial results.
Lindseay said the team has a preliminary mitigation-area layout and nearly finished roadway designs; a no-rise floodplain certification and final flood-risk assessment memo are in preparation and are expected to be filed with county planning within a week to several weeks. He said the project team will meet with County staff (Grant Dwey and county engineer) next week to refine design details and then begin permit submissions.
Lindseay characterized the recent findings as generally favorable and said the project is on track to begin permitting within about a month, subject to final reports and state reviews.
