Oklahoma County boards took multiple procedural votes on June 18, approving a lot split and the corresponding final plat, accepting the May 2026 refund and expense report, and granting a floodplain development permit to OG&E to add generation capacity at the Horseshoe power plant.
On the planning agenda, staff said the lot split met general plat requirements and no protests were filed; the board approved the lot split and then approved the related final plat (mylar) without additional comment. The board then received the May refund and expense report. Eric (county staff) said the county saw improved revenue in May driven by commercial project permitting, and he estimated the year-end position could be in the red by about $10,000–$15,000.
At the Floodplain Management Board meeting, Eric presented DP2026-02, a phase-two expansion project for the Horseshoe plant. Staff said the floodplain analysis found a negligible peak rise (0.0002 foot), well below the county threshold of 0.05 foot. Casey Furman of OG&E said the project will elevate equipment out of the floodplain and that engineers provided the required analysis. The Floodplain Board approved the permit by roll-call vote.
