At the April 14 meeting the board approved the financial reports for the period ending Feb. 28, 2025 and accepted the Treasurer’s recommendations on several fiscal items.
Member Matt Slaven moved and Member Randy Porter seconded the Treasurer consent agenda. The board approved enrollment in the Optimal Health Initiatives Group retrospective-rating Agreement of Participation and Consent for Workers Compensation, with a projected refund of $25,070.00 as presented in the packet. The board also approved appropriation modifications for Title I, Title II and Title IV accounts and authorized creation of Fund 019 9925 (GPD Enhanced Audio).
The Treasurer’s recommendations included authorization to scrap or auction two items listed in the packet (a 2000 Chevrolet school van and an ACCO laminator) and acceptance of a $555 donation from the Big Red Community Foundation for fifth-grade camp scholarships. All items passed on a unanimous recorded roll-call vote.
The board did not discuss detailed implementation steps for the new fund or the timing of the auctioned assets at the meeting; those details will be handled by the Treasurer’s office and district administration.
