Former grantee to submit revised budget after reporting changed needs for Houghton’s Pond refreshment stand
Joe Cain of Rise & Thrive told the CPC that costs have shifted since a $60,000 2025 award for renovating the Houghton’s Pond refreshment stand. Cain agreed to submit a revised expense budget and the Chair will consult the committee attorney and town accountant to determine if funds can be redirected.

At the June 8 meeting, former grantee Joe Cain of Rise & Thrive presented an update on the Houghton’s Pond Refreshment Stand project, which previously received a $60,000 CPC award in 2025. Cain told the committee that the project’s financial needs have changed and that he will submit a revised expense budget for the committee’s review.
