Sheriff reports 220 incidents in quarter; projected contract wage increase noted
Sheriff Brian Swedberg told the council there were 220 incidents in Spring Grove last quarter (188 during scheduled shifts and 22 outside scheduled shifts); he clarified that "assigned" calls are handled by on-shift Spring Grove deputies while "unassigned" calls are handled by deputies from elsewhere in the county. Mayor Solum asked about a projected 11% wage increase in the Sheriff contract; Swedberg said negotiations may change that projection.

Sheriff Brian Swedberg briefed the council on the department’s quarterly activity, reporting 220 incidents in Spring Grove during the past quarter. He said 188 of those incidents occurred during scheduled Spring Grove shifts and 22 were handled outside scheduled shifts.
