Glendo council approves building permits, directs code enforcement letters on unpermitted structures

At the July 16 meeting the Glendo Town Council approved a building permit for Crow Creek Homes and approved revised building plans submitted by Travis John after the town attorney noted the original plans did not conform to R-1 zoning.

Town Attorney Eric Jones told the council that the town has several code-compliance matters to address, including propane tanks stored on racks behind a residential shop, a Conex box on a property that is not permitted and must be removed, and an unpermitted structure at 125 Lazy Pants; Jones said letters would be issued to resolve those complaints. Jones also named witnesses (Mayor Susan Juschka, Councilmember Heather Schoning, Clerk/Treasurer Kelsey Crabtree and Public Works Director Steve Eller) for a court appearance regarding the Old Hotel scheduled for July 28 at 9:30 a.m.

Crow Creek Homes' permit was approved on a motion by Jeston Cundall, seconded by Kelly Jones; the revised Travis John plans were approved on a motion by Kelly Jones, seconded by Jeston Cundall; both motions were recorded as carried unanimously. Council also discussed publishing demolition bids for the Community Center on July 30 and August 6.
