During the public‑comment period, resident JT Potter asked the town to support a request from the manager of the local Dollar General to add a produce department. Potter said the store manager, "January," told him the company sometimes requests a signal from the community or a letter from the mayor or town board before establishing fresh‑produce sections in lower‑traffic stores.
