"Option one was to approve it as it was applied for, knowing that it could be a code violation for outdoor storage depending on how the space was used," Nash explained.
Planning Commission member Cody Vojacek moved to recommend approval with the enclosure and siding condition; the motion was seconded by Planning Commission member Jim Schendel and "Motion carried unanimously," according to the meeting minutes. The motion is recorded as a recommendation from the Planning Commission; the transcript frames it as a recommendation rather than a final permit decision.
The commission also handled routine business and announcements. Cindy Nash reported that the Hilltop property changed ownership. Administration and Communications Specialist Deanna Law said a Hilltop interior remodel permit "should be approved by Metro West by next week."
