Town to coordinate with county and DNR on potential road/bridge work that could affect emergency access

"Would it hurt anything for the town to just go ahead on its own and do a resolution... deeming it as emergency access?" the council member asked.
Members agreed to raise the issue at the next commission meeting, contact the county highway engineer, consult with the fire department and EMA, and consider preparatory actions (letters or a resolution) to protect emergency access. No formal resolution was adopted at this meeting; the board directed members to pursue discussions with county officials and stakeholders this week.
