At the close of the June 23 consent session, Volusia County School Board members introduced five newly appointed administrators whose effective start dates are July 1, 2026.
Valerie Collins and Alyssa Neglia were introduced as coordinators in Exceptional Student Education and spoke briefly about their priorities for supporting students with disabilities and transition services. Claudio Paulino, Rebecca Pretty and Angela Richards were introduced as assistant principals at Pearson Elementary, Blue Lake Elementary and Champion Elementary, respectively; each thanked the board and pledged to support students and staff in their new roles.
District HR staff also announced five transfers for assistant-principal and administrative-dean positions across multiple schools. The board congratulated the appointees and noted that school-based administrative teams will be set for the 2026-27 school year.
The meeting adjourned with the board noting the next workshop and work session on July 28.
