Supervisors probe solar and battery-storage rules; agree on decommissioning plan elements
At the June 9 work session, Wapello County supervisors tentatively agreed to place battery storage in I-2 zoning, require a decommissioning plan (including removal of concrete to six feet) and to use the county Emergency Management coordinator rather than local fire departments for emergency sign-off; exact insurance and financial surety levels remain under review.
