The Adair County Board of Supervisors unanimously appointed Ruthie Smith as county auditor on June 17, 2026; the board also directed that former auditor Mandy Berg be removed from county accounts and that Smith be added.

The Adair County Board of Supervisors unanimously appointed Ruthie Smith as Adair County Auditor at its June 17, 2026 regular meeting. Supervisor Hoadley moved to appoint Smith and Supervisor Wedemeyer seconded; a roll call vote recorded Hoadley, Wedemeyer, Baier, Walker and Vice Chair Michael Christoffersen voting aye.
