MHAC votes to remove member for unexcused absences, sets May board presentation

The Wright County Mental Health Advisory Council voted March 10 to remove member Kelli Douglas for three consecutive unexcused absences under the council’s bylaws. MHAC member Carl Harju made the motion to remove Douglas; MHAC member Tammi Dahlman seconded, and the motion carried (vote tally not specified).
The council also approved the meeting agenda after a motion by MHAC member Tammi Dahlman and a second by MHAC member Breanna Heintzelman, and it approved minutes from the Jan. 13, 2026 meeting following a motion by MHAC member Brienne Elstad and a second by MHAC member Kraig Sommerfeld. Members confirmed remaining 2026 MHAC meeting dates: June 9, Sept. 8, and Nov. 10.
MHAC discussed who will present the council’s 2025 unmet needs list to the Wright County board on May 5, 2026, at 9:00 a.m. Roxanne DoBrava had previously indicated possible availability but was not present; MHAC member Kraig Sommerfeld and MHAC member Brienne Elstad volunteered as backups to present the list.
The meeting concluded with an adjournment motion from MHAC member Cathy Elfstrand, seconded by MHAC member Tammi Dahlman; the motion carried.
