Council members were briefed that the previously authorized annual contract with Waste Management will reflect a 4.3% rate increase, below the 5% cap discussed when the contract was approved. City staff said the National Bureau of Labor Statistics release allowed the final increase to be calculated and that the 4.3% figure will be reflected going forward.
