RILEY COUNTY — Commissioners on June 25 approved a set of routine motions and resolutions that addressed local utility rates, personnel forms, appointments and intergovernmental support.
Key approved items included resolutions modifying water and sewer rates in several benefit districts and a resolution appointing Riley County representatives to the Rural Economic Development Advisory Board. The board also approved payroll and accounts payable, certified minutes from June 22, and accepted multiple employee action forms including separations and new hires in public works, IT/GIS, the clerk’s office and volunteer firefighter appointments.
Separately, the board approved Emergency Services Director David Adams’ request to loan a county EMS patient‑hauler UTV to neighboring Pawatami County for their Fourth of July celebration. Commissioners also voted to close the Riley County Historical Museum on Saturday, July 4, and approved participation in a state CAPERS 457 auto‑enrollment pilot program for county employees.
All routine motions were approved by voice vote during the meeting; where commissioners signed the resolutions, staff recorded those as adopted.
