Engineer: Broadhead sewer separation advancing; park and manhole lining work underway

Engineer Baker told the council that the Broadhead sewer separation project is moving forward and that crews expect to complete the storm sewer pipe installation near North Emily by the end of next week, weather permitting.
He said curb and sidewalk restoration is ongoing, Belvadier curb work had a relocated gas line completed, and an additional paving round is planned for early to mid-July. For sewer system repairs, contract A excavation repairs are complete and contract B manhole-lining materials have been ordered so lining can begin once materials arrive.
Bids for the finalized Lynwood and Noville park plans are expected; staff noted several ad alternates such as court resurfacing and lighting to stay within budget. Staff are coordinating with DCNR compliance and expect to proceed to bid after ensuring grant requirements are met.
Baker also said crews will monitor stormwater collection after final paving to confirm system performance and that speed-hump striping and parking-lot paving on Broadhead are complete.
