Councilor Osborn moved and Councilor Joyce seconded the retroactive appointment. Councilor Uber opposed the motion, stating he believed the officer should reside in the borough; the motion nevertheless carried. The minutes record that Zigler is available to begin training on July 12, with iWorqs software training provided virtually, and that Zigler would begin actual work on July 29.
Council directed that Zigler receive the scheduled training and begin on the stated dates.
