Staff suggested the old trailers could be sold (for example via GovDeals) and the clerk confirmed the purchase would require a budget amendment but could be funded from available cash balance.
Next steps: staff will move forward with surplus steps and return formal purchase paperwork and any required budget amendment to the next meeting for approval or administratively proceed as permitted by county purchasing rules.
