Commission reappoints Jim Green to development board, reappoints two to E911 board

Jackson County commissioners reappointed three local candidates to county boards during the June 22 meeting.
For the Jackson County Development Authority (EDA) seat, commissioners reviewed four applicants — including Jim Green — whose packet described longstanding local service and prior board experience. Jim Green was nominated and reappointed by roll call.
The commission also considered eight applicants for two vacancies on the E911 board. After nominations and roll-call votes, the commission reappointed Bill Knight and Ryan Putman. Staff said letters and notifications will be sent to the appointees.
Chairman Bill Nance thanked all applicants for their willingness to serve. Commissioners did not discuss any conditions to the appointments on the floor.
Next steps: staff will send appointment letters and take required clerical steps to notify boards and the appointees.
