Members of the Polk County Veterans Service Committee informed the board that visits to the Veterans Service Office exceeded 100 in February and asked the county to allow the office to add one day per week for administrative work while maintaining appointment-based service three days per week. Committee members also requested a wage increase for the assistant, noting she has obtained the accreditations required to process veterans’ claims.
