River Ridge counsel outlines competing claims on Corkscrew Road; drainage project to begin in weeks
District counsel reviewed documents about ownership and maintenance responsibility for parts of Corkscrew Road; the district engineer said the Seaside & Master Drainage Project is expected to start in two to three weeks and staff will present sidewalk inspection results in January.

District Counsel Tony Pires told the River Ridge Community Development District board on Nov. 19 that his view on ownership of Corkscrew Road (west of U.S. 41) had not changed after retrieving additional documents. Pires and District Engineer Charlie Krebs summarized the County's and Village's differing positions on ownership and maintenance responsibilities based on prior memoranda and records; the board noted PSGRC held town-hall discussions focused on the intersection of U.S. 41 and the east side of Corkscrew Road and that the study will include the west side as well.
