DeForest to switch agenda management to Granicus, adds email subscriptions and packet tools

The Village of DeForest will replace its OnBase agenda-management system with Granicus effective July 1, staff told trustees at the June 16 work session. Kelly presented the change and said the new system will publish meeting landing pages, host agenda packets as PDFs, and allow residents to subscribe to email notices for specific meeting types.
Kelly said staff are working with Granicus on formatting and attachment handling and will import existing subscriber lists where possible. "Members of the public will be able to sign up for email agendas," she said, adding that staff will continue to maintain an OnBase link for a transition period while new archives are organized in Laserfiche.
The village will set up Granicus accounts for trustees and staff to use the packet-review features (note-taking, bookmarking and mark-ups) and will communicate to residents whether they need to re-subscribe for specific committees. Kelly said migration work is in progress and staff will notify the public through mailings, social media and the village website.
