Town project manager and facilities staff presented a design‑phase plan to the Historic District Commission to replace more than 350 windows and exterior doors at Center School through the Massachusetts School Building Authority Accelerated Repair Program; the HDC was asked to review a future application with detailed elevations for anything visible from public ways.

John Dearborn, project manager in the Town Manager’s office, told the Longmeadow Historic District Commission on April 14 that the town is planning to replace more than 350 windows and exterior doors at Center School as part of the Massachusetts School Building Authority Accelerated Repair Program and expects the project to be reimbursed by more than 50 percent.
