Property manager outlines meter/generator plan, facility fixes and bench/flag placements

Rody Wolf, the county property manager, told commissioners the county would effect an internal transfer to fill a maintenance vacancy by moving Amy Anthony into the maintenance role and then open an in‑house housekeeping post.
Wolf described work with a gas vendor to relocate two meters at the Charles Foreman building and to place a generator; he said the vendor would provide drawings and two pricing options in about three to four weeks so the county can compare contractor repairs versus road‑department repairs. "He said it would be three to four weeks before he got the drawings back and pricing on it. And he's going to price it two ways," Wolf said.
Wolf said county electricians must replace a missing cover on a 200‑amp electrical meter box at the old sign shop in compliance with CRS; the swap is scheduled for June 12, expected to take about eight hours, and pumps at the fueling site will be out during the work.
Other updates: an A/C unit in the circuit clerk's office will be replaced the week of June 15; sheriff's office carpet and bathrooms are near completion; landscaping crews have been trimming shrubs and clearing beds; and benches have arrived. Commissioners discussed placing benches near the courthouse and securing them during ongoing construction before July 4.
Commissioners asked staff to bring meter/generator drawings and cost comparisons to the Tuesday meeting, and to coordinate the June 12 electrical work notification with departments that rely on the pumps.
