Dan Daly, the county engineer, told commissioners that the county has an ALDOT ATIP 2 agreement that includes $2 million in state funding for the roadway project but that the project’s estimate at submission was about $2.86 million, leaving local partners to cover the remaining gap. He said one nearby municipality committed up to $350,000 toward the match and that final local contributions will be clarified as plans are refined.
