Commissioners approve subdivision and infrastructure plans, utilities actions, workforce contract and routine payments
Summary
At the July 1 meeting the board approved plans for Lookout Point subdivision and Sidley Boulevard, authorized waterline and sewer cost estimates, approved a utilities appropriation for Green Street, authorized a workforce-services contract with Harbor Vocational Services, and approved routine payments and purchase orders.
During a busy business agenda the Lake County Board of Commissioners approved several infrastructure and administrative resolutions by roll call.
In the engineer’s docket commissioners approved plans and specifications for Lookout Point Subdivision Phase 1 (Pennsbury Township) and Sidley Boulevard Phase 1 (Painesville Township). The board also approved cost estimates for Sidley Boulevard waterlines ($289,217.50) and sanitary sewers ($203,225), and for Lookout Point waterlines ($316,316) and sanitary sewers ($781,069.30).
The Department of Utilities received approval to increase appropriations and transfer cash within the water fund for project 488W 2025—Green Street waterline replacement. Commissioners also certified unpaid water and sewer sums and administrative charges to the Lake County auditor.
In the human-services docket the board authorized a service contract with Harbor Vocational Services to provide workforce services for program year 2026 on behalf of Job and Family Services.
On routine finance matters the board approved payment of bills in the amount of $8,131,950.83, purchase orders totaling $2,164,311.93, and several appropriation transfers.
All listed votes were taken by roll call and recorded as aye/yes from each commissioner where noted in the minutes. The board then moved toward an executive session to discuss an economic-development matter under R.C. 121.22(G)(8).
