The Saline County Board of Commissioners approved several financial resolutions and administrative agreements during its meeting on Aug. 19, 2025, in Wilber.
The board approved Resolution #2025-069 to transfer $206,000 from the Inheritance Fund to the General Fund, Resolution #2025-070 to transfer $11,200 from the Inheritance Fund to the Grant Fund (to be reimbursed when funds are available), and Resolution #2025-071 to transfer $1,600 from the Inheritance Fund to the Juvenile Services Aid Program Fund (to be reimbursed when funds are available). Each motion was moved by Commissioner Brian Pribyl and seconded by Commissioner Ray Rohrig; recorded votes show the motions carried.
In other formal actions, the board approved Resolution #2025-067 releasing pledged security at First Tri-County Bank of Swanton and Resolution #2025-068 establishing new security at the same bank. The board also approved an agreement for EPC services with Region 5 Systems and accepted an update presentation from Elaine Menzel of the Nebraska Association of County Officials (NACO).

Why it matters The largest single transfer, $206,000 from the Inheritance Fund to the General Fund, shifts one-time or reserved inheritance revenue into the county’s operating account; the meeting minutes record the transfers and specify that the smaller transfers are to be reimbursed to the Inheritance Fund “when funds are available.” The actions will affect budgeting and bookkeeping for Saline County as staff implement the transfers.
What’s next The minutes record that the motions passed and that routine implementation steps follow; no additional hearings or public comment on these resolutions were recorded during the meeting.
