Duncan announced a new workforce development task force that will report directly to the mayor’s office and aim to strengthen connections between residents, training providers and local employers. "The goal of [the] task force is to help Topeka think more strategically about local workforce development," Duncan said, listing apprenticeships, internships and technical training as pathways the body will examine.
