White said the Juvenile Justice Center (JJC) elevator “is now scheduled to start July 20.” He told the committees the courthouse elevator work has been slightly delayed pending an inspection but that staff expect work to be finished the week of July 10. “Probably be next week, the week of July 10th, we'll be done with it,” White said.
White reported the behavioral health center enclosure is nearing completion, with final glass installation and ongoing interior framing and drywall work. He said the state fire marshal returned a positive 50% review and that cabling remains the final bid item: a pre-bid has occurred and pricing is expected in roughly two weeks. White said, “we're still showing late December for substantial completion.”
On low-voltage systems and security cameras, White confirmed cameras are part of the remaining low-voltage scope. He noted some county-driven review changes for annex entrance security and that staff are working through those adjustments with engineering. KA (identified in the transcript as ready on the county’s end) also indicated readiness to respond to remaining work.
White described warranty and corrective work at other sites: HVAC issues at a sheriff’s facility are being handled as warranty items by contractor Lingo and subcontractor TNT, with bi-weekly site updates requested to ensure resolution and preventive checks. He also reported contractor crews repairing a roof issue at one metro facility and that interior elevator cab work awaits final inspection.
Committee members moved and seconded to receive White’s report; the motion carried by voice vote. The committee asked staff to continue providing regular progress and funding updates to oversight bodies.
