Dover council adopts grading‑plan fees, approves event and routine items

The Dover City Council at its July 1 meeting approved a set of routine administrative actions including a new grading‑plan fee schedule and several motions to approve minutes, financial statements and a local event.
Clerk/Treasurer Gary Pedersen told council members the city had not previously charged for issuing grading plans. Member Eric Tyler moved and Member Jodi Nicklay seconded a motion to charge $75 for residential grading plans and $500 for all other grading plans; the motion carried.
The council also approved last month’s meeting minutes and the financial statements and bills for the previous month after separate motions, each of which passed. Member Jodi Nicklay moved and Member Eric Tyler seconded approval of an event application from Neighbors Pub for an August 17 .2K run that includes a band; that motion passed.
Members also received administrative updates: the council is awaiting the first draft of a remodeled city website, and Clerk Pedersen flagged potential LMC membership cost increases and forecasted Small City Assistance payments of about $3,000 and $14,000 over the next two years. No formal votes were recorded on the website item; it remains pending vendor delivery.
