Residents ask Emily council to study a public dock on Emily Lake
At the Aug. 12 meeting David and Ann Larsen asked the council to consider installing a city dock on Emily Lake; the Park Commission will research feasibility, MnDOT easement impacts and ADA access, and the council will consider funding during the 2026 budget process.

David and Ann Larsen told the Emily City Council at its Aug. 12 meeting they have raised $950 with an additional $200 pledged and asked the City to install a public dock (or docks) on Emily Lake. Ann Larsen said the town previously had boat access via The Bungalow dock, which has been removed, and two emailed comments were submitted in support of the proposal.
