Utica Community Schools to study grade-configuration changes; implementation not expected before 2027-28
Superintendent Monroe told the board the district will study moving to K-5, 6-8 and 9-12 grade configurations with support from Hanover Research; any change would not occur before the 2027-2028 school year and the study will address student mental-health impacts and the Montessori program at Messmore Elementary.
