HATS hears transportation updates: Minuteman Bikeway extension placed on 2022 TIP; several roadway projects delayed or planned
The Hanscom Area Towns Committee was told that the Minuteman Bikeway extension in Bedford made the 2022 state Transportation Improvement Plan; members were also briefed on Route 2A resurfacing plans, a delayed Route 2A bridge replacement due to lost federal funds, and funding windows for Routes 4/225 improvements.

Committee chair Mike Rosenberg announced that improvements to the Minuteman Bikeway extension in Bedford were included in the stateTransportation Improvement Plan for 2022. Richard Canale noted that resurfacing of Route 2A through Lexington, Lincoln and Concord is planned for 2019 and that the proposed Route 2A bridge replacement over Route 128 has been delayed indefinitely because of a loss of federal funds.
