Land use: The board approved a minor plat and rezoning for a 2-acre parcel filed by Jeff Rottinghaus in Perry Township (Section 14) after a presentation by Zoning Director Amber Lorenzen. Personnel and payroll: The board authorized payroll for three employees effective July 1, 2026: Jenna Baker, full-time dispatcher at $22.30 per hour (Resolution 26-73); Jason Penner, part-time jail nurse at $45.00 per hour (Resolution 26-74); and Rylie Fuller, part-time dispatcher at $27.29 per hour (Resolution 26-75). Employer-of-record change and terminations: The supervisors approved termination of Buchanan County as employer of record for Julie Davison, Laurie Esch and Juli Cameron effective June 30, 2026; the motion carried.
Other business: The board approved employee claims totaling $191.79, a facilities use agreement with the Northeast Iowa Area Agency on Aging, and placed on file manure management plans for Premier Pork (Site 3, Fremont Township, Section 13), Premier Pork (Site 2, Fremont Township, Section 24), Gregory Becker (Westburg Township, Section 17) and James Dolan (Middlefield Township, Section 25).
