Council gives consensus to study adaptive recreation programming for residents with disabilities
Council asked staff to analyze existing adaptive recreation offerings, demand and partnership possibilities; staff estimated 40–60 hours to complete the analysis and will return with findings for council consideration.

Councilmember Talamantez's item to evaluate adaptive recreation programming drew consensus at the June 23 workshop. Staff defined adaptive recreation as programming intentionally designed to enable participation by people with physical, cognitive, sensory or behavioral disabilities and said the analysis would assess existing Glendale programs, services in neighboring jurisdictions, demand and potential community partners.
