Separately, a Home Depot customer-support representative contacted KMB to explore ways to support the committee. Members discussed possible donations of dirt, tools and materials, assistance with a cleanup along Route 140 and help constructing a fence around the JJ Garden. Danielle Dupre will respond to the Home Depot inquiry to develop partnership ideas.
The committee framed Community Roots as a volunteer-driven program; at the Feb. 10 meeting there were no binding contracts or formal material commitments recorded. Members agreed that any expanded events or fundraising would require separate leadership and a dedicated committee.
