Eastpointe board adopts updated student code of conduct

At its July 22 meeting the Eastpointe Community Schools Board of Education unanimously adopted an updated Student Code of Conduct after administrators reviewed the document and credited MTSS coordinator Donna Fabian Grossman for leading revisions.
The Eastpointe Community Schools Board of Education voted on July 22 to adopt an updated Student Code of Conduct presented by district administrators and the superintendent.
Superintendent Christina Gibson said the revisions had been reviewed for legal compliance and credited MTSS coordinator and homeless liaison Donna Fabian Grossman for leading administrators through the update process. "I'd like to again credit Donna Fabian Grossman and a group of administrators through this process," Gibson said during the presentation.
Board members moved and seconded the adoption. A roll-call vote recorded the following votes from members present: Mr. Robert Rosco yes; Mrs. Gromberg yes; Mrs. Rayford yes; Mrs. Richardson yes; Mr. Gromberg yes; Dr. Early yes. The motion carried.
The board did not record any amendments during the meeting; the vote finalized adoption of the updated code for district use. The superintendent and administrators said they will communicate expectations and distributive materials to families and staff following the board action.
