Selectboard reviews surplus town parcels and appoints two to Open Space Plan Committee

Town Administrator Andrew Alward and Terry Donovan reviewed a list of town-owned parcels the Selectboard identified as surplus at the March 23 meeting. Andrew said four parcels are ready for sale while many others lack recorded deeds and that many parcels were acquired through tax foreclosure. The board discussed marketability and a gifted parcel containing Hiram's Tomb; Andrew said an abutting owner is willing to grant a right-of-way and has expressed interest in purchasing that parcel.
