Resident urges expanded AP classes and elementary grading; operations says crosswalk lights await county work

Jim Birko, Operations & Maintenance, responded that county road construction on Garfield is not yet complete and that reactivating the crosswalk lights is on the district's list of tasks to accomplish once work permits it.
Board members noted the comments were received; no board vote or formal directive on curriculum changes was recorded in the minutes. The concerns raised touch on academic course offerings and elementary grading practices, both of which would require staff study and board consideration before any policy change. The crosswalk lights issue appears to be contingent on county completion of roadway work.
