On March 11, the Three Oaks Village Council reviewed competing rubbish and recycling proposals and voted to accept Lakeshore Recycling’s five‑year contract without the optional yard waste pickup. Council Member Thomas asked whether adding yard waste would duplicate DPW responsibilities and increase costs; the Village Manager confirmed that including yard waste would raise monthly charges for residents. After discussion, Council moved to accept Lakeshore Recycling’s proposal without the yard waste option and directed staff and the Village Attorney to prepare the agreement.
