Sawyer County's Administrative Committee spent the bulk of its meeting weighing a proposal for a pedestrian plaza alongside a previously approved county veterans tribute. Carson Kipper, who said he had been approached about pedestrian-safety issues at Highway 63, described a concept to convert a block of Main Street into a pedestrian-friendly plaza with green space and historic features. "My hope is that this can be a discussion here," Kipper said, presenting the idea as an early-stage concept with no finalized costs or timeline.
