"If you look at our other facilities, we have a double door and then once you come through the double door, you then go into an additional area that allows authentication to happen," board member Allan Marks said while introducing the item. Tim (operations committee) added that the work was prioritized for safety and the district intended to use summer downtime to limit disruption.
The board cited safety and timeliness in invoking the statutory exception. The motion passed in roll call with board members recorded as voting in favor.
