WinCAM executive director appeals for donations as cable subscriptions fall in Winchester

David Gauthier, identifying himself as WinCAM's executive director, said the nonprofit relies heavily on cable subscriber fees to operate and asked viewers to donate. "Did you know that 90% of WinCAM's funding comes from fees that are collected from cable subscribers?" he said, adding that cable subscriptions in Winchester have declined about 40% in the last 10 years. Gauthier directed viewers to wincam.org/supportus to make a tax-deductible donation and then introduced the program.
