Commission appoints 911 training officer; Emergency Services coordinator warns modular building needs demolition

Rick Gillespie, the county's Emergency Services Coordinator, told the commission that a modular building at the Pendleton County General Services Center needs to be demolished to allow Mon Power to run power lines; he estimated demolition, selective tree removal and fill for parking at about $11,000. Gillespie said the county hopes to move the county OEM offices into new space in January.
Mike Alt presented third-quarter requests for EMS supplements and stipends totaling $39,904.50 and thanked the commission for past funding. The minutes record the submission of the requests but do not show a separate vote on those specific payments during this meeting.
The commission had entered executive session earlier to discuss an IT contract and 911 personnel matters and reconvened without recording any separate action from the session beyond the later appointment to the CTO position.
