Mapleton Local recognizes performing and visual arts staff and students

At its Feb. 10 meeting, the Mapleton Local School District Board of Education recognized the district’s performing and visual arts staff and students across grade levels.
The board’s recognition item named Susie Swartz (K–8 art), Matt Kidney (9–12 art) and music staff and students including Kellie Keating, Hunter Struckoff and John Royski for their work in art, choir and band. The agenda also listed pK–12 specials and electives staff: Kara Edgell (Spanish), Kerry Reisinger (NHS) and Dominic Tozzi (Gifted). The minutes cited student activities and school events such as a Pepperoni Roller sale, Winter Wonderland lunch party, PBIS celebrations, Donut Day awards, and a visiting Olympian speaker at Mapleton High School.
