Board approves bailiff and assistant public defender salary settings
Summary

Lancaster County commissioners approved personnel items on Feb. 3, including a salary setting for a newly promoted Bailiff II and salary offers for two incoming assistant public defenders.
Lynn Alvin, District Court Administrator, asked the board to set the salary for Larry Rollic (Bailiff II) "at the same rate as our other Bailiff IIs" effective Feb. 23, 2026, noting the promotion transfers Rollic from a paralegal position and increases pay by about $1,500. The board voted in favor of the salary setting.
Christy Agger, Lancaster County Public Defender, requested approval to set salaries for two experienced incoming assistant public defenders at $113,000 (effective Feb. 19 and June 11, 2026). Agger said both candidates have about 25 years of criminal-defense experience and are willing to start at the proposed salary; the board approved the appointments.
