District 5 probation says Nance County's share will rise $328.75 under formula-based allocation

Carrie Rodriguez, Chief Probation Officer for District 5, told the Nance County Board on June 23 that District 5 will not request an increase in its overall operating budget of $273,954.46 for the coming period. Under the formula the district uses—census population and the number of probation cases per county—Nance County's share will increase by $328.75 to $5,670.86 from $5,342.11.
Rodriguez explained that the budget is apportioned among District 5's 11 counties and that the county's portion reflects relative population and caseload. The board did not object; the report was informational and no additional county contribution was requested beyond the calculated amount.
The change will be reflected in the county's budget records as part of regular intergovernmental allocations for probation services.
