Welcome Center task force says fundraising goal met; construction eyed for June 2025
The Welcome Center Task Force told the Vernon County Economic Development Committee that the Viroqua Welcome Center renovation has met its fundraising goal, secured a $250,000 CDI grant from WEDC and a City of Viroqua contribution; construction is expected to start June 2025 and last about 6–9 months.

Cyndy Hubbard, a member of the Welcome Center Task Force, told the Vernon County Economic Development Committee that the task force has met its fundraising goal for the Viroqua Welcome Center renovation and has been awarded a $250,000 CDI grant from the Wisconsin Economic Development Corporation (WEDC). Hubbard said the project also received a contribution from the City of Viroqua.
