Public Defender J.R. Santana Carter presented his monthly report, introduced two interns and asked the committee to accept a $100,000 non-competitive DCJS grant to be split 50/50 with the conflict defender's office; committee also approved paying the DA's summer intern listed as an office aid.

Public Defender J.R. Santana Carter told the Allegany County Public Safety Committee on July 1 that his office had received a $100,000 non-competitive grant from the Division of Criminal Justice Services and asked the committee to formally accept and appropriate the funds.
