On Feb. 23, the Plan Commission approved DPR 25-20, Avon Retail Shops, a proposal by Evergreen Commons, LLC to build two retail buildings totaling approximately 29,400 square feet across a roughly four-acre parcel fronting E. U.S. Highway 36.
Staff recommended approval of Waivers A and B and the DPR provided the petitioner satisfied standard conditions, including filing a subdivision plat to combine the properties into a single lot, submission of revised plans meeting UDO commitments, and posting a landscape bond per UDO Section 6.1(D)(3). Petitioner Brian Cross presented the application. The public hearing was opened and closed without substantive public comment. Commissioners approved both waivers and the DPR by 5-0 votes.
The commission’s approval is conditional on the platting and plan revisions required by staff and final engineering and public works review before building permits and occupancy.
